Our mission at Black Forest Woodworks is not only to provide quality, safe and non-toxic products that are made in America, but to help worthwhile organizations continue to perform the vital work they do.

We believe that America was built on values of love of God and country and service to our fellow man.  We believe in the independent self-reliant spirit on which our country was founded.

When you make a purchase at Black Forest Woodworks, we will donate a portion of the proceeds to one of the non-profit organizations listed below. You will have the opportunity to indicate which non-profit organization when you place your order.

American Legion – Since 1919, the American Legion’s vision for a strong America has been built on four pillars of service: supporting a strong national security, taking care of veterans, mentoring youth and promoting patriotism and honor.

Missionaries of Charity – This Roman Catholic religious order was established in 1950 by Mother Teresa of Calcutta and has over 4,500 members and is active in 133 countries. In Mother Teresa’s words, the mission of the Missionaries of Charity is to care for “the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone.” The Missionaries of Charity run orphanages, AIDS hospices, charity centers worldwide, and care for refugees, the blind, disabled, aged, alcoholics, the poor and homeless, and victims of floods, epidemics and famine in Asia, Africa, Latin America, North America, Europe and Australia.

Medicines for Humanity – How would you feel if your child was sick and you could not get the medicine and healthcare that was needed? Each year seven million parents find themselves in this position. They watch their children die from diseases that could be prevented or treated with basic healthcare and basic medicines. Medicines for Humanity was founded as a direct response to this ongoing tragedy. MFH believes that no child should die because they don’t have access to basic medicines and primary healthcare. MFH donates critically needed medicines to selected healthcare partners in areas with high child mortality and helps these same partners build healthcare clinics. These components work together for lasting impact on child mortality rates in these communities.

USO- The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military. The USO currently operates more than 135 centers worldwide, including ten mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas.  Service members and their families visit USO centers more than 6.9 million time each year. The USO is the way the American public supports our troops.

Veterans of Foreign Wars - The purposes of the Veterans of Foreign Wars non-profit organization are to be fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational; to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America, and fidelity to its institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies, whomsoever.
